Last updated: 2026-06-10. Atlas is built by Fractal (cfofractal.ca). This page explains in plain words what data we collect, why, where it lives, and how to exercise your rights.

What we collect

Your questionnaire answers (12 questions about your situation: stage, cofounders, planned fundraising, etc.), the clauses you select in the builder, and, if you request your PDF brief, your first name, last name, email and, optionally, your company name and website. We also collect anonymised usage data (page views, funnel steps) to improve the product.

What we never do

We do not sell any data. We show no ads. Your answers are never shared with third parties for commercial purposes. The cofounder share link only exposes your pact summary, never your individual sensitive answers.

Why we collect it

To make Atlas work: generate your clause recommendations, email you your PDF brief, let you resume your session through a magic link. If you tick the corresponding opt-in, Fractal may contact you about its services. If you subscribe to the newsletter, you get our product notes, nothing else.

Where it is stored

Our technical processors: Airtable (sessions and answers), Vercel (hosting), Sanity (editorial content, no personal data), Resend (email delivery), PostHog (audience measurement). One technical cookie (atlas-jurisdiction) remembers your jurisdiction for 1 year, and your browser keeps your current session locally. No advertising cookies.

For how long

Sessions and answers are kept for as long as needed to run the product and your resume links (the magic link expires after 90 days). You can request deletion of everything at any time.

Your rights

Access, rectification, deletion, objection: write to hello@cfofractal.ca and we will process the request within 30 days. Every email we send contains a one-click unsubscribe link.

Atlas is not a legal service and this page is not legal advice. Any question: hello@cfofractal.ca.
